Dr. Blaize Reich, Professor, Business Development Beedie School of Business, Simon Fraser University

Dr. Blaize Reich is a professor in the Beedie School of Business, Simon Fraser University. She is active in the business community as a Board member and director of national business, academic and professional associations. Dr. Reich worked for 15 years in Canada and Asia as an information technology (IT) practitioner and consultant. As the RBC Professor of Technology and Innovation, Dr. Reich’s research focuses on IT Governance and IT project management. Her research has been published in the leading journals and she speaks regularly at academic and practitioner conferences. Her co-authored publication “Governing Information Technology Risk” is used in the Director’s Education Program to provide guidance to future directors. Dr. Reich’s areas of expertise, both practical and academic, include the use of information technology to improve business processes, knowledge management, project management, and strategic planning. She has experience in a wide range of industries including financial services, education, utilities, transportation, mining and technology.
